Water clarity in this beautiful bay can be compared with the beaches of Caribbean islands. Marina di Ragusa is the most prestigious resort area south of Sicily. This resort is located a few kilometers south of the town of Ragusa, and is the most famous tourist destination of the south-eastern Sicily, with an ideal climate for recreation for eight months of the year. There are a lot of beautiful villas with swimming pools and tennis courts close by. The promenade is adjacent to a small but cozy sandy beach. The resort has excellent parking for boats, fully equipped and at a reasonable price. Donnalucata beach is located about 8 miles east of Marina di Ragusa, on the shore of a small resort town Donnalucata. The beach consists of soft golden sand and washed by turquoise clear sea water. Nearby there is a fish market in which customers each morning can buy fresh and varied catch. Beautiful promenade stretches to the port with colorful boats. Pozzallo is halfway between Marina di Ragusa and Portopalo di Capo Passero, a port that has a direct connection with Malta. Carratois is a prestigious beach near the town of Portopalo di Capopassero - an elegant Mediterranean beach where in the summer goes the Sicily and Italy's elite - doctors, lawyers, scientists – to enjoy the hot summer breeze with a glass of wine. Gastronomic festivals in Sicily
In Sicily it si wonderful to live in any time of year, because even in the winter months the temperature does not drop during the day below 10 degrees. It is of course a bit cool to swim, but here there are also many other interesting events. One of them is the Sagra - gastronomic festivals - where you can treat yourself to delicious local delicacies and assist to the colorful traditional festivals. In September, the solar Sicily has several festivals. In early September, a festival of ice cream in Cefalu, where you can enjoy ice cream, made in the traditional Sicilian recipes, as well as the famous dessert of granita from traditional ingredients (lemon and orange juice, pistachios, almonds, coffee, mint), as well as seasonal berries - strawberries and mulberry. At the end of September in the beautiful seaside town of San Vito Lo Capo there is the couscous festival, where come chefs from all around the world. Here you can enjoy not only the most delicious couscous, cooked with fresh fish, but also many other dishes, including delicious pizzas to suit all tastes. In Modica there is Chocobarocco - chocolate festival. The whole city center is transformed into a continuous feast for sweet lovers. Also at this time the whole of Sicily celebrates the festival of harvest of grapes and wine. December and January are months of Christmas, so anywhere on the island are  held celebrations. One of the most beautiful is the Christmas festivities in the town of Caltagirone - a kaleidoscope of traditions, emotions, art, gastronomy and folklore, where you can get an unforgettable experience between magical narrow streets. The city is world famous for its ceramics, the first production of which is founded by the ancient Greeks. In February, the season of pomegranates, kiwi, melons and mandarancho (a hybrid of tangerine with bitter orange) starts, and the whole island is literally covered with white blooming almond trees. There is the festival of Sagra nel Mandorlo in Agrigento dedicated to this magnificence, during which are also held children's festival and the festival of folklore, as well as the historic costumed procession. April is the month of Easter and Easter is always celebrated magnificently in the best tradition. In Ispica you can observe the traditional ceremony, reconstituted in accordance with biblical scenes of Christ's resurrection. Meanwhile in Cassibile is held the festival of strawberries, and in Bushemi the fest of ricotta, the famous Sicilian cheese curd. April days are usually very warm, the average daily temperature is 20 degrees, at night it is not below 8.10. In May, the average daily temperature is 22-24 degrees, very comfortable, at night does not go below 12. You can already swim in the sea, the water temperature is about 20 degrees. In the town of Pachino they celebrate inverdurata, a festival of seasonal vegetables. In the center of the city is created a mosaic composition on the basis of local vegetables. Trapani
Trapani is the center of the province of the same name, which also includes a group of Egadi islands in the north-west of the island of Sicily. The town got its name from the word "drepanon" (sickle) - so the ancient Greeks called sickle-shaped promontory on which the city is located at the foot of Mount Erice. In Trapani is thriving the  tuna fishing and wine making (in Marsala), salt extraction, production of olive oil. The capital of Trapani is a kaleidoscope in which are mixed the traditions of Arabs, Normans, Greeks, Romans and Spaniards. The most important monument of the city is the sanctuary of the Virgin Mary, which is a mixture of different eras and styles. Holidays in Trapani is not only a great vacation on the coast. Perhaps the most famous resort in the province are the three islands of the archipelago Egadi - Favignana, Levanzo and Marittima. On the coast is very popular Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito Lo Capo. In San Vito people come in the first place for its sea and beaches, it is difficult to single out one particular beach, so they are all beautiful and comfortable, and the sea is shallow near the coast. This place is famous for the delicious couscous, cooked with just fresh fish of different species, and this means that at any local restaurant, you will be offered such a dish. There is also to the International Festival «Cous Cous Fest» dedicated to this dish, where annually meet chefs from eight countries who prepare the couscous according to their own traditions. Nearby Trapani (32 km) is worth visiting the town of Marsala, it has lots of attractions, but is really famous for its winemaking traditions stored here from the XVIII century. This is where the best vineyards are located for wine "Marsala". Marsala is also popular among windsurfers and kaytserfers. In addition, you can have the Sicilian exotic vacation in many villages of the province: Calatafimi, Vale del Belise, Ghibellina. Here you can enjoy a quiet pace of life of Sicilian fishermen. If you are lucky, you will even be invited to a tuna fishing, which is called here "mattanza."
Agrigento
Agrigento is a province in the south of Sicily. In this amazing place, you can easily combine a beach holiday and cultural one. The provincial capital Agrigento is a city with a rich history dating back to the period before Christ. The spirit of antiquity is everywhere. At the center of the city you can walk for hours, admiring the historic churches, antique buildings, overgrown with ivy (including the house where Luigi Pirandello was born). The main attraction of the region is Valley of the Temples which is on a hill, about 2.5 km south of the historic city center. Valley of the Temples is the world heritage by UNESCO. Its main wealth are the monuments that have survived from the ancient city Akpagac, founded in the VI century BC.: Temple of Olympian Jupiter, the Temple of the Dioscuri, the Temple of Hercules, Temple of Concordia, the Temple of Juno Lacina, the Temple of Aesculapius and the Tomb of Theron. In February, there are hundreds of almond trees in bloom, collected from all over Italy, and there is a festival dedicated to the celebration of blossoming almond. The main resorts are Scala dei Turchi, Sciacca, Menfi which are known for their sandy beaches and clear sea. Yacht cruises along Sicily are a popular entertainment at the resort, which are not to be missed. Otherwise, you may lose the awesome view from the ship to the white rocks, villages, scattered along the coastal hills and the ruins that were once the villas of Roman nobles. Among the famous beaches are Kaos beach, which is located next to the house where Luigi Pirandello was born, and popular among tourists sandy beach of San Leone. Sports enthusiasts can do surfing, soccer, tennis, horse riding. For those who love dancing the night away there are Miro disco club and Noctis.  
Messina
Messina is the Province of Sicily, the closest to the mainland. It is located on the northeast coast of the island near the Strait of Messina, between Sicily and Calabria. Provincial capital is the city of Messina, the major port. The capital of the province is very attractive and interesting, you can admire the wonder of the surviving relics of the Cathedral of the 12th century with a bell tower, and the Orion fountain, created by one of the disciples of the great Michelangelo in the 16th century. It is in Messina that a monument to Russian sailors was erected, who in 1908 saved more than 2,000 people from the rubble, trapped there by the earthquake. In summer, the province of Messina is one of the busiest areas of Sicily. Here is situated the main summer resort on the east of the island - Taormina (50 km from Catania.) It is known not only for its marvellous beaches, but also for its main attraction - the Greek Amphitheatre. The city is situated on the slopes of Mount Tauro at an altitude of 250 m above sea level. Taormina scenery is amazingly beautiful: azure sky, blue sea, the cliffs with countless bays and coves, mountains, valleys and towns, literally immersed in the greenery of olive and citrus groves. In Taormina the Festival of theater, music and dance is held annually, where is also awarded an international prize. A few minutes drive from the resort town of Taormina is located Giardini Naxos, where you can have a comfortable rest. There are many discos, water rides, restaurants on the coast as well as a golf club. It is worth mentioning also Milazzo, located 44 km from Messina, on a narrow peninsula. The main attraction of the town is the citadel, built in the era of the Normans, the heart of which is a Norman castle, which is compared with the Tower of London. Milazzo has magnificent beaches stretching along the entire peninsula. From the northern tip of the peninsula, Capo di Milazzo, you can admire spectacular views of the surrounding landscape, lighthouse, Tono bay and Mount Etna.
Palermo
The province of Palermo and its homonymous capital are truly a paradise, one of the most popular places in Italy. Besides the capital, there are also several important cities and tourist centers such as Cefalù, Monreale, Termini Imerese. The island of Ustica also belongs to the province. It's considered one of the main summer resorts. For tourists the most attractive place remains Palermo, not for nothing it is called an open-air museum, a real capital of cultural and artistic events: many nations of the world left their indelible  mark, including the Romans, Greeks, Normans, arabs. The main attractions are the Norman Palace, the Church of St. Francis, St. Cataldo, Martorana, Cathedral of Palermo and others. Palermo is famous for its lively district Mondello which is considered a favourite destination of tourists for a beach holiday. Mondello is located at the foot of Monte Pellegrino and Monte Gallo in a picturesque bay with a wonderful climate and in high season it attracts a lot of tourists. Also are famous Cefalu resort with its cottages extending down the edge of the sea and Ustica, an island of volcanic origin, recently renovated and converted into a modern recreation area, attractive also for diving lovers. At 10 km from Palermo is Monreale, famous for its cathedral with unique mosaic panels. There is one of the largest reserves of the island in the province – the Madonie National Park.
